    Favorite Movement: Deadlifts

    I started my CrossFit journey in late 2013 after working with personal trainers. I knew very little about CrossFit but was curious to see what all the hype was about. It challenged me in so many different ways. A lot of the movements and intensity was not something I was used to, but I am always up for a challenge and that's what brought me in almost every day.

    The community at the Cave has always been very strong and my husband and I made an incredible group of friends, some of whom are our closest friends almost a decade later! In fact most of my closest friends to this day I have met at the Cave at some time or other.

    I fell in love with the progress and was so happy every time I PR'd a lift or beat my previous time in a benchmark WOD. It was a huge confidence booster for me and I wanted to help other people in their CrossFit journey. For this reason it was a no brainer to start coaching. I started coaching a new cardio program and loved every minute of it. I then started coaching kids classes and regular CrossFit classes.

    Fast forward to now, I am a proud co-owner of the Cave. The Cave has brought me so much joy over the years and is a big passion of mine. I hope that every new member that comes in the door finds as much joy as I have.

    Favorite Movement: Deadlifts

    I started my CrossFit journey in 2013, and became a coach in 2018, and got my Level 2 certification in September 2023 . I love the diversity of the CrossFit workouts that helps people become more complete and well-rounded athletes. One of the biggest rewards from coaching at the Cave is the feeling that you get when you help someone get their first pull-up or somebody run one mile without stopping for the first time, or PR their deadlift. I've always enjoyed helping people, just like so many others have done for me.

    Outside of the Cave, I enjoy cooking, music, movies, watching sports and spending time with my little family :)

  • COACH CHRISTIAN

    Favorite Movement: The work DT

    Coach Christian walked into the Cave in 2013 and never looked back. She hadn’t really worked out since high school and had recently rejoined the land of the living after having her third baby. One day at a time, she continues to show up and work on her physical health. She loves it so much she joined our coaching team in 2017.

    She works out mostly with the 6am crew and the occasional noon and can be seen subbing in as she is able. If you see her, give her a fist bump…she hates most workouts but is always happy she put in the work and loves to see friendly faces!

    Her “favorite” workout is DT, and she detests most cardio.

    I am sub coach for the amazing community at caveman. Ive been heavily involved in crossfit for over 5 years now. I am a full time nurse and part time coach. I enjoy helping people reach different levels of health and fitness. I am always here to help in whatever I can. If you ever have a question in or out of the gym feel free to contact me.

    Coach Kyle has been teaching gym since 2012. He accidentally started CrossFit when he stumbled through a Level 1 seminar for a professional development in 2017. His wife loves that he’s a power cleaner and his favorite movement is using his 5 kids as an odd object carry. He’s been known to show up to coach shoeless and has been heard instructing athletes to “wait in the outfield until they become angry gorillas.” A bit unusual but he loves helping others accomplish goals they never thought possible.

    Howdy! My name is Stephanie Purka I am from Long Island NY. I started CrossFit back in 2015 as a challenge with my friends but little did I know I would fall in love with it and continue with it. I love the community and friends I have made along the way. I love helping people reach their goals and watch them grow!

    Favorite Movement: Box Jumps

    My name is Casey, I am married to my wife Danessa and have a 17 year old son named Kenneth. I started CrossFit in 2017. I had absolutely no idea how much I would enjoy and love the community. I have always loved working out but never had people to really push me to do better. My favorite lift is the deadlift. My favorite movement is the box jump. Favorite food is pizza. Motto of life is “Better days are made today!”

    Favorite Movement: Backsquat

    Hi! My name is Auburn Stallings. I have a husband, Joey, and three kiddos. I started coaching CF back in 2011. Since then we have moved more than a handful of times but have found a CF community each place we landed. My fav lift is backsquat, my least fav is thruster..and my CF Total is 773lb :)

  • COACH MADDIE

    I'm coach Maddie. I discovered crossfit when my friend brought me to the cave back in 2016. It didn't take long for me to develop a passion for crossfit. I started training at the cave consistently in 2018. Since then, I received my CF-L1 certification in 2020. I love coaching and watching my athletes grow and succeed in crossfit.

  • COACH DOUG

    Favorite Movement: Squat Cleans

    Coach Doug joined the Cave in 2019 and loved the community, competitiveness, and challenge instantly. After being a member for several years, he got his Level 1 so that he could help others what he got to experience for himself.

    You’ll find Doug with a cup of coffee in his hand at 5AM, making terrible jokes, and performing horrible dance moves, all while having a lot of fun.
